Our story, our values, and the people driving change for Kamba communities in North Carolina and Kenya.
ADADO — the Akamba Diaspora Advancement & Development Organization, Inc. — was founded by passionate Kamba community members living in North Carolina who felt a deep calling to serve their homeland while strengthening their community abroad.
We recognized that the Kamba people, spread across the globe, carry with them an incredible wealth of skills, education, and resources. But without coordination and direction, this potential remained untapped. ADADO was created to be that bridge.
Operating under the principle that "we are all in this together," ADADO brings together professionals, farmers, educators, faith leaders, and community champions from the diaspora and Kenya to work toward a shared vision of prosperity for all Kamba people.
Kamba diaspora members in NC unite to form ADADO, Inc. as a formal non-profit organization focused on sustainable community development.
ADADO launches inaugural town hall meetings in North Carolina and establishes dialogue channels with communities in Machakos, Kitui, and Makueni.
ADADO launches its flagship sustainable agriculture program and begins planning for Centers of Excellence in partnership with local government and NGOs.
Plans underway to establish the first ADADO Center of Excellence in Machakos County — a hub for agricultural training, vocational skills, and entrepreneurship.
Passionate community leaders committed to creating lasting change for the Kamba people.

Get In TouchTo be a transformational force for the Kamba Community in North Carolina and Kenya, fostering sustainable development, educational excellence, and socio-economic growth through collaborative and innovative initiatives.
We invest in solutions that create lasting change — not quick fixes. Every program is designed with longevity and community ownership in mind.
"I am because we are." Our work is rooted in the African philosophy of collective well-being — success is shared, and so is the journey.
We embrace technology and modern methods to solve ancient challenges — from drone irrigation to digital market access for Kamba farmers.
We operate with full transparency and accountability. Every dollar, every decision, every program is held to the highest ethical standard.
Our work is grounded in faith and moral values. We partner with faith communities as pillars of trust and mobilization in both countries.
Every Kamba voice matters. We ensure women, youth, elders, and all community members have a seat at the table and a role in our mission.
The Akamba people — known for their resilience, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial spirit — are one of Kenya's most prominent ethnic groups. Historically settled in the semi-arid Eastern Province, the Kamba have developed remarkable strategies for survival in challenging environments.
Known as master wood carvers, traders, and warriors, the Kamba have always been outward-looking. Today, thousands of Kamba professionals and students live across the globe — in the U.S., UK, Canada, and beyond — carrying with them the values of hard work and community solidarity.
ADADO channels this global Kamba network into a focused development force, connecting the diaspora's resources with the homeland's needs — building the Kamba future together.
Join ADADO and help write the next chapter of Kamba community development.
